To be nominated and then selected as a Super Lawyer is one of the highest honors an attorney can receive. 

Lawyers are selected every year to be listed in the Northern California Super Lawyers magazine in honor of their professional achievements. Attorneys are selected based upon Experience, Ethics, and Reputation. The lawyers are nominated and selected by their peers, and after a rigorous selection process only 5% of all Northern California lawyers are listed in the magazine.

Law & Politics magazine sent out more than 52,000 ballots to Northern California lawyers asking them to nominate the best attorneys they had observed in person. Lawyers were not permitted to vote for themselves.

Lawyers were evaluated based on peer recognition and professional achievement. Law and Politics conducts a detailed research process that evaluates each candidate.  Factors considered in evaluating attorneys included: 1) number years of experience; 2) if they had special licenses or certifications; 3) pro bono and community service; 4) honors and awards; and 5) representation of clients.
